hello,
Is there an optimum way to adjust the audio settings (i.e.., bass, treble & punch etc) to minimize the rattling noise from the subwoofer? When I increase the push on the sub it feels like the glass windows are going to shatter

I brought my car into the dealership about the rattling. They said that it was coming from behind the sub box. Only option they gave me was to use sound padding around the trunk area.
If your sub is damaged bc of wear/tear, I believe it should be under warranty for the first two years....

1st of all, what kind of amp and watts, subs, and head unit you using? what kind of box do you have? is it a band pass or an open box? well anyway, make sure that you run your audio cables on the opposite side of the car that you ran your power wire to avoid picking up engine noise. Also, face your spkrs to the front of the car and open the back seats so the air has a place to go. when you face the subs to the back of the trunk, the air is going to try and go out the trunk lid. on the amp, run your gain around half way and get a head unit that will allow you to control the sub woofer volume directly from the head unit. i'm running p500 amp and p1's and the system sounds amazing. but i plan on upgrading to p2's because the p1's can't handle that big of an amp
This sounds very low tech, but my subwoofer was rattling like crazy. Then one day I grabbed a stick and braced the subwoofer box to the rear wall of my trunk and it stopped vibrating. strange, but it worked.
