Hey all!

I recently purchased a Pioneer TS-W3002D4 sub to put in my lancer. This thing is a monster!

I have already run a 4 gauge wire to the back, and wired up this PoS Sony Amp rated at 600 watt rms. Sorry can't find a link to it, but I assure you it is old and sounds like poop.

I was wondering if anyone could help me find a great amp to power this beast for < 500.
Preferably 1000w rms @ 2ohms. I was looking around sonicelectronix and found a Kicker IX1000.1, anyone have any experience with these?

BTW the only experience i have had is with this old Sony amp that was wired with these 2 even bigger pos 12 in subs; and also a kick *** Alpine setup that my dad has installed in his Blazer.

 

Kicker is good, don't get Kenwood products as they have completely disappointed me (with the exception of their component speakers). I have DB Drive, they are a little cheaper I think (on ebay, thats where I got mine) and they are definately solid amps. Been using a 4 channel and mono amp to drive all the speakers in my car for a little over a year with NO issues. Can't say that about my Kenwood setup, or my friend's Memphis.

the kicker monoblock 1000w would be good. i have 2 kenwood 12s and a kenwood 1000w amp and i bang em pretty hard and no problems but every one is different. i prefer pioneer over anything but i got a good deal on my setup. yea the Kicker ZX1000.1 R Class D Amp Monoblock 1000 Watt Amplifier would push it pretty good and there are bigger amps just depends on your funds.
