HELL NO....DON'T BUY IT.....dude c'mon....a 1600w amp for 300 bux.....a "quality amp" pushin 1600w is gonna be closer to 1200 bux if you're lucky! The amp is arguably more important than the sub, good clean power will make or break a good sub.....Stick with Pheonix Gold, JL Audio, Diamond, Eclipse...and a few others I woulds actually spend money on. just my $.02

avoid pyle. if you want a decent inexpensive amp, go with power acoustik.

Its true that pyle sucks. Avoid at all cost. But to say that a sub needs good CLEAN power is not true at all. You cannot hear the tonal difference if u were to push say a PG 12Ti with a JBL amp or a PPI amp with the same wattage. Subs dont need clean power, thats why most ppl use Class D mono amps for subs.

The low down on amplifiers:

Basically, the more wattage you have going to the actual reccomended power handle of the subwoofer the louder the sub will be, not necessarily cleaner.

If you were to get a lower wattage, but higher quality amp, the subwoofer will not be as loud, however it will be much cleaner.

A good rule of thumb to go by is to expect to pay around .75 -1.00 dollar per watt.

I personally use the new MTX 1501ds and I love them.

Maybe i should have restated my last statement a bit. When i said actual wattage i meant the RMS that the amp is putting out not the number that is written on the amp. And when i said u cannot hear the tonal difference i should have stated from a class A or B to a class D, which for subs you'll get the most out of your money if u went for a class D amp. Visit sounddomain.com forums if u dont believe me. Just my couple of pennies.
