I was looking at the Python 660XP system, and the sales rep tells me that i would need a separate relay to flash the blinkers and something else to disable the factory keyless entry system.

Is that on the level or am i being taken for a ride? Is there any danger of this messing up the engine immobilizer?

i have an 03 oz and installed a clifford rs3 and needed no separate relays for anything. You don't need to disable the factory keyless system you just tap into it.

 

the only thing you would need a relay for is if you do starter kill and/or you want your headlights to turn on.

Yeah, i called around after and other dealers were more honest about what it took. This guy (belonging to a major chain that deal in car .. um toys) was either ignorant or trying to take me for a ride.
I am thinking of just getting the Hornet 700T though ... if all i want is to upgrade the keyless entry, that's probably good enough?
