blown sub?

blown sub?

my sub sounds tinfoily. i just built a new box. did i ***** up the box or did i blow the sub?

double check your box for air leaks, and re-measure the interior volume (space inside the box) it sounds to me like you either made the box the wrong size, or it's leaky. Also, if this box is drastically different in size from the last box, re-check the gains on your amp. Enclosure size has an effect on power handling.

what kind of sub, what kind of amp, how much power, size of old box, size of new box?


Probably leaky box but its possible the sub is blown
