No sound from new stereo

Hello forum!

I own a Lancer sport 2009 (no nav) with the factory Rockford Fosgate sound system. I recently bought a Pioneer AVH-X3700DAB, but I can't seem to get any sound even though the stereo turns on.

The player looks like this on the back:

A cable came with the stereo to connect it, but I needed to buy an ISO harness adapter. I got this one:

.. and I am now wondering if maybe that's the culprit. Did I buy the wrong cable? It doesn't have as many pins as there are cables coming from the car harness.
I read somewhere else on this forum that someone used an active adapter like the MITO-02:
Amazon.com: Axxess Interface MITO-02 Mitsubishi Lancer 2008 and Outlander 2007-2008 Amp Interface Harness: Car Electronics Amazon.com: Axxess Interface MITO-02 Mitsubishi Lancer 2008 and Outlander 2007-2008 Amp Interface Harness: Car Electronics

Does anyone have experience with this car that could give me some tips? Eventually, is there anything I can do myself so that I dont need to buy more stuff? The active adapter is very expensive, so I would rather save that money if possible.

You have to buy the MITO piece.

The factory fosgate amp is turned on via canbus, which the mito piece provides.

That explains a lot. Thanks, I have ordered one and it should be here during the week. Hope it works now!
