I have an 09 lancer ES with factory radio. I got into my car this morning to find the buttons not working. They worked on Sunday.... It's stuck on this local jazz station, which isn't bad fortunately, but would be once I leave the are

The power and volume work, and it makes noise if I hit the "load" button for CDs, but nothing else works. Another odd thing is that the screen gets brighter when I press "6" of channel presets.

Sounds like the headunit failing. There are no serviceable items inside the radio.
I could ship you my old one for parts to swap boards if you are that technically savvy...


I would recommend going aftermarket. There are install kits available to fit double DIN (like a 7" screen Nav radio - go to crutchfield for ideas )


A used EBay OEM headunit may have different problems (no audio out of one CD channel usually).
