the 6-pack of ginger ale was just sittin around in my apt's little porch room. it was one of my roommates' anyway, lol. but, more pics will be up tomorrow when the box is in. the reason for the can next to the pic... it's just fun to compare big subs to regular everyday objects.

small magnet???

where do you see a small magnet? i had a 15" brahma, with triple stacked magnets there were about 7 inches in diameter. the XXX has double-stacked magnets that are about 9-10 inches in diameter. the XXX's magnet structure is huge.

PLEASE remove your spare and build a custom box..... That just looks horrible and I think it may affect efficiency. With all the money your putting into your system, spend a little time and some extra money to build a nice set up. Not knocking on you, I'm sure everything will sound awsome, but I think you should look into this.....Good Luck.

it's been looked into numerous times. there is NO spare in the well, that's where my amps are. this box is a temporary home for the XXX until i get a new car (most likely an '04 4-Runner). i am quite capable of making clean installs, just this one i was looking to get more function than looks out of.

here's an example of a non-ugly setup (that used to be in my trunk:

but, like i said, this time around, i just wanted to make it fit!

LMAO, lance is that waht you call PLENTY of trunk space
Looks great glad to see someone got a good sub., the other issue is if you did make another box ie: fiberglass, it would have to be crazy big to give your XXX room to have anywhere close to enough air space. time to drop your rear seats my brotha'
congrats on your new boom

thanks Nero, at least somebody's not hatin' on a big sub. but, seats down, no rear speakers... this b!tch slams. and, with the new components up front, it all sounds gravy.
