New Stereo Problems
Ok I have already posted about my engine noise problem coming through the speakers and I think I got that fix. But I just notice this morning on the way to work when I roll down my windows no music comes my speakers then when I stop rolling down my windows the music will continue. Can somebody help me out here.
Thanks

If you replaced your factory speakers with aftermarket ones, then your wiring harness is on the way of your window and the wires are probably loose by now, so what you need to do is move the speaker wires out of the way. Seen this happen many times before!!
Hmm interesting, I might be getting new speakers, specifically - Alpine type R 6 1/2" circuit city said they should install them into the 6 3/4" slot with no problem, and I'd really like to know if new speakers would affect the windows, and what should I tell circuit city in order to prevent this problem?
P.S. yes yes I know im lazy not installin the speakers myself, but I really trust the guys @ my local circuit city, they do a good job.

Okay guys, on the window thing, go to your dealer first, there has got to be a wiring problem in there, there isn't a car in the world that doesn't have enough electrical power to run both window and speaker at the same time. Also, when you wired your system did you cut any wires or reroute anything? Did you use a wiring kit adapter? If you answered yes to the first two questions or no to the second you may have messed something up.
Altogether i think this sounds like a problem your dealer needs to chase down. When you installed your subs though if you cut any wires or anthing like that you need to have that looked at.
Good luck dude, let us know what happened.
P.S. If you have a little biut of electrical knowhow and a voltmeter or multimeter you may be able to chaseit down yourself.

I had to turn my amps down, and add 2 caps. My speakers made a loud popping or cracking sound...replacing 1 amp and adding a cap helped a lot. there are also filters or something I think you can buy to block engine noise. but I'm not sure I tried it, it works ok, but not worth the 40 bux.
Where do you have your wiring connected to inside the engine bay?
what amp power are you running, opposed to speaker power? what kind of wires are you running?
the engine noise is most likely bleeding into the wiring, since EMI comes from machinery(grinding, motors etc). Try to reposition your wiring or get better wiring if you haven't already fixed that problem.
Where did you run the wire through the car?
When i use my windows i get a popping sounded when i push and release the button(no big deal), check your wiring.
Please tell me you have some sort of amp, otherwise thats your problem.

As far as the noise goes, first get high quality cables. Then make sure the power and sound wires are as far from each other as possible, meaning the three power wires, two pos, one neg, and the rca cable. I have the two positives running down the drivers side under the door sills and the rca runs down the center of the car under the console, all completely hidden and noise free.
The amps should have nothing to do with the window thing. I run amps all the time and have run some huge sytems off the stock electrical system in many vehicles including my lancer. I have never seen the system effect anything other than the headlights, althoough i have seen windows slow down when the bass hits but never turn off or in any way effect a speaker.
Besides, i thought you wrote that your door speakers were the ones having the problem, you also said they were stock. In other words your system doesn't really effect them at all other than your head unit, that could however also be the problem, there may be a defect in your head unit.
But i am telling you, dude, ask any lancer owner with a big system in the car, the electrical system in your car is strong enough to handle 90% of the average systems in the world, so if you haven't set up a competition system then you probably have plenty of juice.
Give us a list, what components are you using?

for the noise. you might want to try groudning the head unit somewhere else. that could be a simple answer to your problem.
as for the whole window thing. i see ur pushing 3 10's and u say that the speakers turn off when u move the windows. maybe its not turning off, maybe its being really quiet because its source isnt' getting enough power. some things u might want to look into is a bettery battery (more reliable than stock) maybe a high output alternator (if you can find one) or a capacitor

I put my power (4g) wire through the gromet by the clutch then the wire come out of the hole by the battery. Did anybody else do this? I was wandering since the power wire is laying on metal could that have anything to do with my problems. Every other system I put in I ran the power cord strait from the battery trough a hole in firewall then to amps. The power cord would be under the carpet and then on something else. It never just layed on body of the car.
