factory system
i have always been so impressed with the original factory system in my ES. the civics can eat that! i mean, that baby can blow out your eardrums pretty well if that's what you're looking for! lol. it's just nice to see a company that actually puts decent factory sound systems in their cars.
Yeah...actually those paper cones do pretty decent and the stock CD player's pretty adequate too. Still, you'd notice a huge difference, especially at higher volumes, if you replace stock with quality aftermarket.
jah im not the biggest car audio nut but i was impressed i decided it was good enough fer me and went right to engine mods save like a grand i also found out that u canspill alot of beer on it and it till works great i had a xplode that couldent take poland springs this thing can take beer thats a solid stero
eh..I think they leave a bit desired. Replacing them is a great improvement, like Hobie said especially at higher volumes, i couldn't drive with the windows down and hear the radio when speaks were stock. Companies using Infinity, Bose, Harmon-Kardon, and Monsoon are really paying attention to audio IMO.
The factory system does perform well. I had already replaced the rear speakers when I had the factory headunit, what a difference. The only thing was I didn't replace the front speakers. I wish I had done it. Oh well, I payed to the have the new speakers installed. Lesson learned.

You fellas are lucky you even gotta stereo when you brought your car.. i got mine 2nd hand from a dealer, the owner before took all the speakers out and left a budget **** kenwood tape deck the frikken mongrels..
but thats alright, i already had 2500 aussie dollar worth of stereo from my 1969 hillman hunter.. so after having my lancer for 2 hours, i had the full interior stripped, and dash stripped in my garage.. and my system in by 5 hours.. thats a full system subs splits amp stacker deck box and all the wiring.. thats my record
usually for all that takes me around 7-8 hours
happy noise making
