Def dont do the boss amp. I haven't heard too many good things about the MTX amp. One of my buddies had a 4 channel MTX and it actually sent power up the RCA's and into his headunit frying everything. The JBL amp is pretty good. A friend of mine has that running two infinity kappa perfect 12's. Your best bet is to get two amps, one for each sub. Each one should have enough RMS to make those subs really move. Thats what im doin when i get my two 12in alpine type R's. But thats just must me.

Hey, I had 2 Audiobahn 1500's and they are nice amps, they dont put out anythin near that power but they are nice amps, beautiful lookin...Id say a lil to much $ for the quality.....Now id look into the JBL 1200 which is nice cuz it is an inexpensive amp and does about 1000watts, if ya wanna spend a lil more cash you could look into the Rockford Fosgate BD 1500....i know some people dont like rockford, but they are really reliable...And if you really wanna save cash you could go to ZEB.com and order the Lanzar 1200 D, 236$ shipped, a friend of mine just ordered it and runs great, also their was some tests done on it in a sound mag last month and it was rated at about 1250...most amps dont do what they say....Hope some of it was helpfull

you said RF and reliable in the same sentance. daring.

how much money are you lookin to spend?
phoenix gold amps are, IMO, the bomb diggity. they're expensive as hell tho. the Titanium mono 1000watt is like 1100 but you can find it online for around 900
the Tantrum series amp is cheaper... prolly runnin around 600.
that's just what they're rated at. last i read the tantrum 500.2 (rated 500 bridged) really put out around 570 rms. so the 1000 watts prolly is under what it really pushes rms.

Right now, you can't beat the watts/dollar ratio on the JBL's, and they're a quality amp. They are known to do more than their rated wattage (sometimes quite a fair shake more) and I've not had ANY problems with either of mine. (I've got a pair of 1200.1's and a 160.2) The only real problem with them is they're kinda ugly (yeah... I'm nit-picking)

Personally, JBL gets my vote. The MTX is a good amp, but it's a bit pricey. I don't care for RF at all (not the new stuff anyways, I did like a lot of their older lines)

I know a better amp

You should get an Ample amp it has plenty of power and it can do wonders for you. It will never get hot or go out on you. I had them on my alpine 12" R-type and they sounded awsome and the price for them is good too.

i deffinately wouldnt go with a kenwood, they dont really have anything that pushes a lot of power.....and Ample, I havent really heard anything good about, a dealer where I live sells it and he hasnt had to much luck with it....Now for subs if you really wanna feel it i wouldnt go with audiobahn, unless you already have them and then its ok i guess...Audiobahn is definately not going to give you the loudest sound...but with the right install anythin is possible....couple of suggestions, the Kicker L5's are a nice subs and could use 1100 watts nicely, if you want somethin less common you could look into Digital Designs, Shocker Audio,Onyx Audio, those are a couple of the big names in the bass game as we speak....if you want some more names just leave a post and ill look at my list...

DEI

If you are looking for a kick *** amp, get yourself a DEI 1100D mono class amp. i have 2 of them and they pound the hell out of the DEI Competition 12's i have. it is a 1400 x 1 amp at 2ohms, or 1100 x 1 @ 4ohms, 750 x 2 @ 2ohms or 500 x 2 @ 4 ohms. if you want an amp that will do what you need, this is the amp. you can get em of ebay for about $350-450. do some looking up
