Anyone care to comment?
The thing @ the top is the amp mounted on the steel frames, flush with the floor will be the sub coming out of a small hump aiming toward the cabin through the fold downs. The 2 canister things strapped on the steel frame are capacitors.

You need 2 caps for 1 sub? how much power are you pushing? and how will you have it displayed in plexy? or just showing flush with floor? also looks like the sub is facing down any reason for that? I like the steal frame btw good creativity.
2 caps for 1 sub just for a sense of symmetry
It will be flush with the floor except the hump coming out facing the sub toward the cabin.
Here's the color ill be painting the FG and powdercoating the steel tubing:

I like the color what type of sub and amp are you going to get seems like a lot of bling for a single sub. I'm still not picturing how you can put the piping in and have it flush with the floor are you going to raise the floor a few inches? and will there be anything over the top of this set up or will it be exposed?
It's gonna be raised up like 4-5 inches so the sub can have enough airspace to sound good. There will be nothing on top of this setup, it will be 100% exposed.
The sub is an audiobahn immortal and the amp is an A2200HCQ amp both quite blingy.

Cool that will look nice and will be plenty of vent space for the amp etc only downside is can't use your trunk but hey who needs that right hehe I think its a good design
(I prefer JL audio but hey no ones perfect

I like the design...but I'm not feeling the caps being strapped onto the pipes...
Are you going to specifically use those caps in another system? If not, consider welding them onto a support plate (which would be small and hold the cap onto the pipe)...
I don't know, but if you can pull that one off, that'd kick ***...Cause I like that design

Whoa ... thats like the Bo Jackson of racks/ in your trunk ...Cant really tell from the pic but is that a rear strut brace/amp rack/show piece. Creative. Yeadunno bout the cap positions on the bars will make it look kind of like a space station/raft thing but if you like it cool ... good ventilation for the amp tho.
Might want to keep in mind that if that is a functional strut brace, it may want to move a little at times so whatever you attach to it will need some give. That kind of strut brace keeps the frame stiffer but if you get rear ended, you risk the chance of warping the frame. Also, if function is important to you, you should add or redirect the bars to the corners of the trunk, might look a little cooler and give you better access and visibility to the Sub.

Well the steel frame is just for show, it's not gonna be functional. I was thinking about making a custom rollcage for the inside of the car and having it extend into the trunk to hold the amp, but decided against it cuz of the price and amount of time required for it.
There aren't many places to mount bars to in the trunk. You should seriously consider integrating a rear strut brace. The lowest it could get to the bottom of the floor is 3 inches, so you might as well take advantage of that. 4-5 would be gravy...
The front strut bolt is about 6" from the back seat.
Just a thought....
Nice concept though. Keep us posted.
