it may not be loud...but it is def crisp and not distorted.
i have 1 12" in a homemade vented box (cant see the sub at all - no plexi) with 4 guage running to a 250 watt amp. Its good for me because i listen to rock in addition to my daily dose of rap lol.

I'm still really suprised with how this poll turned out... how could 2 tens beat 3 tens of equal setup? or even 2 12's.... 2 15's could pull better db rating if powered adaquatly but IMO 15's (USUALLY) don't sound very good with a clear SQ system.
I'll take an Inhuman 15 with 2000W per coil over anything else out there 
You can hit 150+ db, it's tight and clean...and....it's an inhuman 15 with 8000W on it...

1x12" A/D/S on 350w is woking great with the MB Quart 6.5 components. Once you put the subs in the trunk you might as well go mono. I'm a happy camper and I don't hear the diff noise any more
