Which set of RCA cables are you talking about? The front, rear, or sub? And connecting them to the amp?

The Sub ones. They go from the Sub out preouts to the AMP. I am not using the front or rear preouts.

Does everything return to normal after you unplug the RCA cables?

Have you checked all of your wiring? Maybe there is something wrong with your headunit.

I checked all the wiring. It could be a problem with the deck. I just thought it was kind of weird that it would work with the RCA's unpluged but as soon as I plug htem in it cuts out. Maybe it is my remote wire that is cutting it out. I will trouble shoot it some more tonight.

Could I just hook the subs into the "Front Out" or "Rear Out" jacks?

I did by mistake with my Kenwood headunit. I thought that I blew my amp up and ended up taking everything out and rewiring it. I ended looking at the manual for the headunit and it told me what to do.
