can someone tell me if this is right?!?!
ok. i have 3 amps and a cap.
to install the cap i would run the power cable to the cap from the cap to the block and then to the amps? |
yep, and dont forget a ground to the cap and seprate ground wire to the amps.
|
yea thats right...what farad cap are you using and what amps? I would think that you may need more than just one cap but what do you have?
|
i have two 900 watt 2 channel and one 300 watt four channel. i only want the 900 watts to be connected to the cap. the cap is a 1.5 farad.
my friend told me sence i only want two amps to the cap that i should put the block before the cap and run one wire to the amp and the other wire to the cap and from the cap to both amps. |
if some one has a setup close to what i want to do or even has a cap. can you show me a picture?!?! cause i really dont feel like being on fire today

|
That will work just fine. Try to ground all of the amps in the same location if you can. Oh and you would not catch on fire, it would simply explode. no worries  Just dont ground out the positive and negative lead of your capacitor and you should not have any troubles. I always mount the capacitor and ground it before charging it.

thanks..well i got everything set up..but when i went to connect power wire to the battery. i forgot to get a 4 gauge fuse holder :crap: i'll take pictures tomorrow so some can tell me if i did it right.
|
got the 15's in. didnt get to hook them up yet becuz i forgot to buy a 4 gauge fuse holder
|
if i could make a suggestion buy a i believe 200amp fuse breaker for your car instead of a 4guage fuse block you will not have to buy fuses just in case you blow the fuse. the circuit breaker you just go and reset it and back in business i have one on my car and i spent maybe 25.00 with tax.
