rrm piggyback ecu question

I searched and couldnt find anything so don't get mad, but i was just wondering what kind of a decrease would i get from installing the rrm piggyback ecu. Is it a minimal amount or pretty significant. If someone has it and can tell me, i would appreciate it.

? Do you mean increase, its around 10% or something, do a quick search on "piggyback gains" I'm sure you'll find something.

No, the PB removes gas from the A/F mixture. You'll GAIN mpg, homey.

negetive. look at my mods list in my profile...i still run rich without the PB ECU...with it i burn around 12:1 and very rarely 13:1 under heavy load conditions. run a search on the lancer 's a/f ratio. you'll learn a lot about trying to lean out your lancer

Makes you run leaner. Not lean.

RRM makes power, they don't blow engines.

Yea. Most people have the same gas mileage if not better. people with the same are the ones like me who can't keep their foot off the gas after they get the piggy

When keeping the same driving style, you should get about 2 mpg more. If you start using the newly found power, you will get about the same mileage. You won't see a decrease though. Although I can tell you that driving over 100 in a Lancer (Pb or no) will average about 9 mpg

Well, he DID blow his own engine that one time he was trying to beat that Puerto Rican kid's record... but he never advocated 14 psi to any of his customers. He literally said that day "I'm going to break into the 12s if it costs me an engine"

lol My milage actually decreased but i think that is due to my heavy foot with the new found power.

heavy foot is the answer...when i put the PB in my milage went from 25mpg to around 29-32mpg on a casual foot.

when i installed my piggyback, i went from 34mpg to around 37mpg, 50/50 city/highway driving. i do have a heavier foot now too. I usually shift between 3500-4500rpm. I also cruise at 65 mph on the highway (after that you lose lots of mpg)
