solder gun is like 10 bucks max at your local hardware/auto store. splicing wires from the ECU is not something you should do a sloppy install on. i know i felt much better about my car after i soldered it. solid connection is a must. use the quick connectors or a solder.

It was soldered when I actually had it on. That was only to show which wires I had connected to which wires, not for use.
