What is the best fuel management system for US Lancer?

I want to know all the fuel management systems made for the US Lancer and which one is the best to use? I have tried the Apexi SAFC2 and it doesn't work for some reason, iit won't dump more fuel in. I can say this because we called APexi and they said we had everything hooked up right and it still didn't work. They were stumped. So someone please give me some other brands and what all needs to be bought with it, if there is extras needed with it.

Our piggyback is far more effective that AFC. Plus it is laptop programmable. I think you should consider it.

You cant dump more fuel in because A) the ecu adjusts the fuel curves under crusing and low throttle conditions to get a stoich fuel curve. If you dump more fuel in the o2 sensor will recognize this and scale back fuel delivery accordingly and B) under full throttle conditions the ecu goes into a fuel dump mode where it dumps as much fuel as possible in without taking into account air readings or anything, so adding fuel is not possible since it is already putting in as much as possible

Almost... under full throttle the ecu goes to pre made maps... this is where the fuel controllers can remove or add fuel... b/c it doesnt rely on the sensors

Since you guys are saying that it won't dump fuel in, then how am I supposed to resolve the issue of the fuel running lean? I have a turbo motor now and that is the issue we are trying to resolve.

I'm currently installing the megasquirt v2 w/ zeitronix wideband for tuning. As of now the MS2 is only controlling fuel, and with a wideband tuning is pretty straighforward. Highly recommend the MS, especially for the price.

Yah if you have done a turbo upgrade...have you gotten the fuel rail upgrade as well as a better fuel pressure regulator and new injectors as well.

start with the basics...like maybe a new fuel pump as well...one that is stronger and pump more fuel

What boost are you running. If you have a turbo on you either have to upgrade the injectors and run some kind of fuel management like the SAFC, or use the stock injectors andhook up a 12:1 fmu, that should get you plenty of fuel. The stock injectors alone cannot keep up with boost

I have bigger fuel injectors put in, I also had a Walbro fuel pump ordered. So other than the SAFC2 what would be another good fuel management system to use? The SAFC did nothing when it was hooked up. It was installed right according to Apexi.

What all accessories need to be bought with the Zeitronix to help out the problems I'm having, I see it has quite a few options? Tell me what you guys think about getting this product.

What boost level are you running and what size injectors did you upgrade to. If you upgraded injectors you should be running extremely rich across the power band if you are at any boost level below 10pounds. If you are running lean then you probably have an issue somewhere else besides tuning.

lets see only pbs that have been tested on the lancer are the RRM one, SAFC(more of a controller really) and eManage. Phil up there is the first to try ou the megasquirt on the lancer so we will have to wait for his review.

and for standalone... AEM EMS and haltech (i believe RPW makes a harness so you can plug it up and no wiring worries) are the only ones that i believe have been run.
