i tried to fix it but it wasn't worth the trouble. so i left it be

NO!!!

I'm running fpr, bored out fuel rail, fmu and 460cc injectors. All that with perfect tuning and a/f ratio.

Why are you running an FPR, FMU and bigger injectors? There has to be an easier system than that.

I just had it. It's working great. Besides I like to run rich and safe, lol.

No kidding. You've added unnecessary points of failure to your fuel system.

I was half-expecting the car to blow up on the dyno but it seems to be holding strong assuming Mirage doesn't do something stupid like run high boost.

With both an FPR and FMU in play its only a matter of time. I would remove one or the other and re-tune because if either one of them malfunctions... BOOM!! He is right in stating that its all about the tuning. However, sometimes you can't tune for mechanical failure.

Within 2 months you guys will see water/meth injection and 10-12 psi. All on stock rods.

FYI, I have talked to rrm guys and they said that their lancer with only forged pistons and stock rods pulled about 260 whp. And they the stock rods will hold around 275whp.

That's weird cause RRM seems to have regularly said that the stock rods are a major weakpoint in the motor. Don't forget, that 260 whp could be on a dynojet which makes it a pretty useless comparison.

Considering the stock rods are cast I would take that with a huge grain of salt.

I heard that with 4g94 engine, the pistons are the weakest then rods.

Ok, suppostly, Brian's car put out 260whp on stock rods and forged pistons. I'm just saying what I have been told. Oh well, I shall see.
