Hello, first, I'd like to thank everyone for any help I receive.
Ok, I've searched here, and other places, but I am getting mixed messages and ideas.
I would like to know what my options are for fueling a turbo engine with a returnless system (4g94). I'm only looking for 5-7psi.
I have a wideband already installed.
Heard about:
aeromotive (pricey)
RRM (5th injector and ecu, more pricey)
Switching to a return (changing intake manifold, pump, and running lines?, really want to avoid this)
Greddy Emanage
Apexi NEO
Bigger injectors (wrx 440s) (no ecu)
If I go with a greddy or apexi etc., will this make the stock ecu send more fuel to the motor under boost without a rising rate or anything else other than a walbro pump? (fpr, rising rate?) I'm under the impression that if I added larger injectors that I could cut fuel for idle, and add fuel for boost with the greddy or apexi.
I really don't want to swap manifold and fuel rails either.
I just want the most cost effective, safe way to boost 5-7psi on a returnless system.

I've also heard that I need to get an 02-03 intake manifold and fuel rail.
I would like to avoid this if possible.

I don't understand why a new manifold would be needed. I could compare my 03 and 04 tomorrow and see if there is some big difference between manifolds.
i dont beleive there is an efi system out there that can run with only 5-7psi.do you want to increase 5-7psi over stock? if so an adj.fuel press reg is the obvious choice.ebay for like 50 bucks or aeromotive for 150.maybe i just dont fully understand the question.
I need adequate fuel, but how with a returnless system?
The fuel pressure regulator is in the fuel tank, I can't add an adjustable fuel press reg with this system the way it is (I think). I've read (on here) that some people change to a return system from a returnless system by adding an o2/03 manifold to add the 02/03 fuel rail, run a return line back to the gas tank, etc. (I really don't want to do this unless I have to).

I plan on a walbro fuel pump, but do I need bigger injectors for only 5 - 7 pounds of boost (I've read that I don't, but do I for the returnless system?) There is limited info on what us returnless guys need.
For a tune, I need engine management. What is recomended for a returnless system?
E-manage or apexi alone?
E-manage or apexi with larger injectors and fuel pump?

You could theoretically do an ECUflash but of the options I would go with the E-Manage. I would assume you'd just need the piggyback, fuel pump and injectors. The regulator is a cheap way of avoiding the need for a tune but it's not exactly a wise choice.
I have no problem installing injectors, a walbro, and taking my time or getting help installing the e-manage, but I don't want to get all this in and still not have adequate fueling due to the characteristics of the returnless system.
Any returnless guys have any info?
I have a turbo '06 lancer running on 14psi returnless. With a Walbro 255LPH, and some 450+cc injectors and something to tune with you will be fine. You can't however use a regulator in-line.... Trust me, doesn't work. Our pressure is 47psi at idle, and just by swapping the pump you will be getting too much fuel on stock injectors, so a piggyback or something to tune with is imperitive. Returnless systems can actually provide more fuel volume than a return type, because of the pressure that is always available to the injectors. With a Walbro I might even be at around 60psi at idle, But I havent checked on a gauge. I'm using a 16G from an evo 8, 460cc injectors from an RX-7, and the split sec piggy to tune.... I have built and tuned the car myself so I do know it will work for you, I have 20,000 miles on 14psi of boost, Ive even had it to 17psi with no fuel issues.... thats right, 17psi on stock internals... though i DO NOT recommend it. HAHA.... Good luck to you mate...
