Check for clearance issues. If it's too close to the under carriage try bending the exhaust hangers a little bit.

I know this thread is old, but better than creating a new one.

The issue is that the exhuast is vibrating against the rear axel a little past where the exhaust bolts on, which is also happening on my 09 GTS. What do you think the best fix is for this? I do not think I have the necessary tools to rebend the existing metal hangers.

There is a youtube video of some guy hanging his exhaust differently using the existing hangers, but this was primarily for the issue of the exhaust hanging too low....which my exhaust hangs perfectly using the hangers as they were intended to be used. If I try to use that method, I am sure my exhaust will be way too close to the bumper (perhaps touching even)....so I can't do that.

The guy at the auto shop said I may want to install a third hanger to pull the exhaust a little bit to the right (the exhaust is a bit too far left and does not line up perfectly with the arch in the rear axel for the stock exhaust), which seems like the best option so far.

I was also thinking I could install some sort of heat resistant rubber (or buffer) between the two, but i do not know of anything i could use to do this.

What do you all suggest as a fix for the Tsudo Exhaust? *

*if you are going to say something pointless like "buy a better exhaust lolz", spare yourself the embarrassment and don't say anything at all. Thanks

contact the place where you got the exhaust, they may re-imburse you... They did for my Tsuedo when one hanger started cracking the muffle casing... had it re-welded for 30$ and they sent me money no questions.

the problem is, an exhaust that has been r&d'd well shouldnt have issues like that. I dont want to say you get what you pay for, but in most cases its true. Cheap product + money to fix unforseen problems = paying more.

That doesnt say the big companies dont get it wrong too. Greddy had the burning exhaust issue for the bumper. but they moved rapidly to resolve that. I am glad you go the issue resolved. Just curious does anyone have a contact number for tsudo themselves? can never find it.

I contacted the company "speed element" who sold it to me and they reimbursed me via paypal. Looking at the site now, they don't have any lancer stuff but the EVO X stuff seems to be stocked full there.

I had the same problem and actually wrote up a thread on it with pics. The Tsudo is advertised as fitting the 2.0L 2008 and 2.4L 2009 onwards GTS... But I really do wonder if there are subtle enough differences between the two causing these issues (i.e. the Magnaflow Cat-Back is only for the 2008 GTS)...

The Tsudo was designed using a 2008 2.0 L GTS... I have a 2009 2.4L GTS.

Basically, when I installed it, not enough clearance under the rear axle so there was rattling. The pipe from the axle to the muffler was ever so slightly long - effectively pushing the exhaust towards the drivers side and therefore not centered under the little notch in the rear axle. You could play around it, but it would eventually settle back and start rattling. Also, if you pushed it too far, the exhaust tip would then no longer be centered under the rear bumper - which of course just wouldn't look right).

Had a muffler shop cut the pipe about 1 inch. They flanged and welded it. Now it clears exactly at center of the notch on the rear axle as well as is nicely centered on the bumper notch. And no rattling!

Speed Element reimbursed me for the labor/costs at the muffler shop (1 hr of work)...

Goodluck!

I find my exhaust great for the price....no complaints other than the hanger issue (see above post) The only thing is, in winter the tip seems to rust a tiny bit, but the rest is ok. It fit my budget. Sounds good, not really loud and raspy.

THAT is exactly what happened to me, mines a 09 gts. i paid 50 bucks off someone for it and it wasn't aligned with the flange. (it came off a 08 gts) and it would rattle on idle.

so i def got what i paid for. went to a muffler shop and had them cut the pipe and reweld and align it with the bumper for 70 bucks.
so instead of buying it online for $225 or however much it is I spent 120.
