Hi guys i have an 09 Lancer GTS i currently get vibration only when at idle.. and mostly with a/c on, if its off vibration is too small, its very strange if i start the engine cold and turn ac on and put car on drive it wont vibrate much sometimes no vibration at all, it is after a bit of driving that if i come to a stop it vibrates. when it is in parking or in neutral it dramatically goes away! what could this be?>?

i do want to mention my car has been in an accident and the car it the sidewalk, the exhaust moved to one side and it was making some weird noise, like a metal hitting a metal vibration and a mechanic pulled the exhaust to the original place where it should be and mounted the little exhaust mount and the sound went away and now it looks perfectly fine from the bottom, could this vibration be regarding that?, its only when on Drive or Reverse and as i release the break slowly it vibrates more and when its fully released no vibrations at all.

Thanks any comments help i really wanna get rid of this its not a huge vibration but i can tell, since my brother also had an 09 GTS before and it did not felt like this.

 

I think the a/c is just a bit rough in these cars. Mine has a little vibration, too, and there's not much you can do to remedy that aside from make sure everything's fastened up well.

 

Is your exhaust aftermarket or OEM. I have a theory that may fit the bill for this.

Let me know which it is while I do some more checking.

 

I have a 2011 GTS I get a bit of sound from my AC too..I think the GTS just does that
