2009 lancer DE camshaft gear question
Hi all,
I have a question, can you use Evo X camshaft gear both the exhaust 1147A015 and intake 1147A010 in a 2009 lancer de 4b11, reason being is that my gears a rattling from time to time and I need to replace them.
I found the that the intake 1147A010 is same but the exhaust is 1147A014, but I cannot find it anywhere.
I want to buy used gear just to replace it for a while.
Would the evo exhaust gear 1147A015 with in my engine, what is the difference?
Thank you in advance

Dstorm7 Evo intake sprocket is sames as 4B10/11 with 25 degree advance range. Evo exhaust sprocket has 35 degree retard range compared to 20 degrees of 4B10/11/12.
While the Evo ex sprocket could be used, it would probably add some wild inaccuracies to the mivec retarding so probably best to be avoided.
How have you come to the conclusion that it is the sprockets that are rattling?

Hi jajk, thanks for your reply
We traced the sound to the upper chamber of the head where the sprockets are, the sound happens at random at certain rpm, but not always, and when I race it, you can here the sound coming from the above.
It is not the timing chain or sliders as since if they have an issue the would continue to make loud noises
I cannot find the exhaust gear for my car and I don't want to put a new one, do you happen to know of other sites that sell them used, besides ebay?

Keep in mind when you are looking for 4B1x parts, you can raid them off Hyundai, Kia, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, Peugeot, Citroen and Proton but do your homework as not all parts are common across the brands.
