Where to start 03 g94 Turbo tuning

Althought title says where to start, I'm not that far behind. I have read and seen many different paths as how to start tuning the Ecu of the g94 stock ecu.

My question is, would it be bad to just flash a stock evo 8 tune onto my 03 oz manual lancer and begin tuning from there after I change injector scaling , MAF Size , MAF Scaling? Will those fuel maps, and timing maps be ok to use as a base with my custom setup. its just a small t3/t4, stock injectors, forged internals.

Ive been told to go with Tephra and use Roadspikes maps but they seem so completely different

Any help is awesome.

I would suggest using roadspikes maps, mainly because the evo maps were designed for the 4g63 and have different knock tolerances. I believe the timing is quite a bit more advanced than the 4g94 can handle.

How much boost are you planning on running? Stock injectors are only good up to 5-7 psi I believe.

You have forged internals and no injectors? you should buy some 440ccs and a 255lph fuel pump or more if you plan on going 10-15 psi! My 440cc max out at 15 psi though.
