nobody will jump in to start a group buy because people want to know how much and what can be expected in hp. So before you start to try and start a group buy try and get those two questions answered by UR. I emailed them and was unsuccessful, they never replied back to me. But please email them because the more people email them about the same products the more likely the chance that they will make something for our cars.

I tried getting Unorthodox to take a look at the 1.8L pulley and do a comparison with a 'G94 motor but as of yet, they have never gotten back to me. They may not even have to make a new damn part and they'd have a whole new market. Yargh.

I emailed unorthodox racing back in october and this was their response:

Do you have plans for manufacturing any parts for the US Lancer (4G94 engine). I was mainly looking for a set of power pulleys. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. If you don't plan on a mass production, although I must tell you there is a lot of interest in aftermarket parts for this vehicle, how much would a custom set cost. Thanks in advance for your help. Michael

Michael,
We don't have any immediate plans but if there is interest we would go into production. As of now there are other models being developed and a Lancer application would go into production sometime next summer. In order to get started I would need a car to come down to our facility to get measurements and test a prototype. Custom one off pieces can cost around $3 to 400.00 each. I will still need to se a car to get measurements.

Thanks for your interest,
Joe ///M

I do not remember where their office is located but it is too far from me. Maybe if someone from that area were to go by and let them use their car for r & d. then they might go ahead make us some parts. also until this is done their won't be any est hp gains.

One of our FL members was trying to sell some. He never put one on his car, was poorly informed about them and..well...the the thread ended up being locked if I remember correctly. You could always get some machined if you were really determined. It would be cheaper than buying them from a brand name.

I remember that post hobie, that pulley didn't work, if I remember correctly there was a problem with the belt slipping.
