Octane boost?
Yea I am curious I run a Lancer OZ in america and i had some questions about the effects of octane boost. I have a custom intake for my car and that is all the engine work I have done on it. I came by a bottle of NOS octane boost fuel (for racing only.) What would happen if I got racing fuel what is about 100 octane and put this additive in my fuel. What would the effects be positively and negatively. If a negative term what would I have to do to make this positive. Thanks.
There's no need whatsoever to run gas like that in your car, it will not help one bit. What gas grade does your manual recommend? Use that, save money. The only advantage to higher octane gas is to prevent detonation, but you don't have any engine mods that might increase the chance of detonation. If you turbocharged it, or were running funny gas, then maybe you'd need race gas, but you'd really need to be pushing the envelope to need 100 octane gas.
Oh, and one bottle of octane booster will not come close to raising the octane level of "standard" grade fuel to 100+.

just to add:
the octane adds nothing but a more controlled explotion in the cylinder... ie higher octane fuel is harder to combust.... thats it...
don't ever beleive someone that says: " i put in 94 octane today... i can FEEL the difference..."
my 54 yr old uncle did this.. i tried to explain what octane was and he didn't believe me..

You dont even need to run the highest octane at the pump in that car, save your money and buy regular with no octane boost. Octane boost would only be useful on cars that depend on the higher octane to function properly.

P.S. I would stick with 89 -91 octane for your OZ, The compression ratio is kinda high and the engine is new.
