for $3200+ cost of professional installation you could probably buy a new DOHC motor for a GS-T (a motor designed FOR and WITH a turbo set up) and drop it in with a few modifications. Then again I could be wrong and just weary to spend $3200 on an add-on ( from some dude named Doug in LV) that may not be deisgned with the same integrity as an OEM motor/turbo.

I'm stayin Naturally Aspirated for as long as I can withstand the temptation of speed and greed.... or until I have lots of quality products from reputable companies to choose from and compare.

Just want to point out...If you mean the 2G DSM GS-T (FWD) 4G63T, that would not be just a "drop-in". Since the 1G/2G 4G63T is with the same orientation as the EVO I - III (driver side) while the current Lancer's engine is on the passenger side...you will need to relocate a lot of things just to fit this engine into the current Lancer engine bay...

Do you have any specs and/ or info on the ddnynopower turbo kit for the 2002 lancer. It gives no info other than a 60-90 hp increase. also what brand is the turbo and intercooler?

I emailed them about the kit as well and they said they were willing to do group buys on the kit if people are interested. They said they have 4 orders already.

ok..

Cool would we get a discount? Will this kit void my warranty? Could we possibly find a way to make monthly payments ? If so then I'm already signing up!

Yeah, a group buy would net a discount. I can find out what they are willing to do it for. It will void your engine's warranty because you'll be bolting on a turbo. One way to make payments is to get a loan... smarter than blowing the cash all out. You could also put it on credit card, but that can be dangerous.

Here's what they told me:
Single purchase, $3000 with sidemount intercooler, $3250 with front mount intercooler. In quantity
of 5 or more, $2850 with sidemount and $3100 with front mount.
I believe shipping is included as well.

Hey I'm from sacramento too. I really want that turbo kit but I dont want to permanently void my warranty. And no, the turbo probably won't make you fail a smog test. What part aof sacramento are you from hktyle?

Wow this is totally interesting for me. I like this and I just emailed to talk to them about it. I would be interested in a group buy and I am curious on how to do a loan and stuff, will anyone help me out on explaining this some more and has anyone ever installed this system, and what is the word about it. I don't want to buy a ****ty thing and be stuck with it. Thanks
