Does intake brand matter

ok so im interested in gettin an intake....from what ive heard injen and aem are pretty much the same...i real ly am just look for a ram not CAI...is weapon R ok i mean being a ram itll all do the same... the only diff is the foam filter is that a big dif any probs with them????

NO.

Get any brand. While different manufacterers will have HP fluctuations, they're all pretty much the same, to be honest.

people said they break up and get sucked into the engine.....but the odd thing is i only hear those stories about Weapon R but not HKS and other companies that use foam....hmmm

well .. as long as you take care of the filter (re-charge it), you shouldn't run into any problems.

If i was getting a SRI - id probably go RMR because it has the heat shield and is a good design.

You may wanna check the classifieds for a used one for a great deal.
