Question SafcII help

I got my SafcII hooked up in my car. Can anybody tell me what settings I would need to put at so it would be useful and not just there for show. Im not running boost yet but I will not too long from now. So I need to find out the settings I can put it on now, and when I have boost. Any feedback is apreciated.

Your settings would depend on your mods... not everyone's settings are going to be the same.

With intake, UDP, bigger MAS, bigger TB, and a few other misc. mods I forget, I was running at +3 to about +8 or so on the low side.

Basically, without goign to a dyno, you are going to have to play with the settings and see which one gives you more power. Just butt dyno it and see if you feel an improvement by adding fuel or if the car bogs (then subtract some fuel.

that's a big fuel pump for not a lot of breather mods. you're going to have to pick up a wideband o2 sensor or maybe even a good AF gauge for your narrowband to tune out any extra fuel your mods might be delivering. from what i've been reading, your fuel mods are good for response and top end, but hopefully you're not drowning down low. if you have to tune negative on the safc, you might have to bump up to 89-91 octane as the lower airflow readings from the MAS will cause an advance in timing, which may also cause predetonation. tuning on the edge may require the higher octane, but a conservative tune might not.

i'd hold off on installing the injectors for now. what size are you looking at? what mods in the future are you lookin to get that would have you buy the really big pump? turbo?

And to quote 'Quez...

your best bet is find someone with a wideband and then tune it..

You're going turbo? I can talk to the guy that made my custom manifold if you want , and see what the possibilites are. The guy is excellent, trust me. Sorry for OT.

Silver_Lancer, like rhyzin said, I would hold off on any more fuel upgrades, while you are NA. Unlike NA, when you can install mod by mod, with boost, you will definitely sacrifice driveability, esp. if you install all those fuel mods with no breather mods. I would hold off on the injector install until the rest of the turbo stuff is going in. Injector installs usually run me about 45 mins so it wouldnt me too painstaking in the turbo install process.
