Short rams have been tried. I don't believe the cold air box has. Willing to be a pioneer?

what im thinking is...whats the point. the thing is kinda like the stock airbox but except of getting the air from the front, ur getting it from the bottom. and if ur good with sheet metal, u can fabtricate something really similar for 20 dollars with some sheet metal and some rivets.

and if u look at the picture, its str8 up common sense. the intake manifold is gonna run hotter. the two top pics were things that are right on top, right next to the combustion chamber, of course its gonna get hot. some pics that they should do is the temp of the filter without the airbox and then one with...

I think Weapon R has nice design, but their intakes in my experience been heavier than competitors.. Doesn't mean much.. Their new Dragon Series is nice and shiny and all, but K&N dominate the intake aftermarket. I just think that Weapon R had a nice ring to it.. It was my first intake choice when I had my Paseo.. I would recommend them, they achieve a deeper tone than any other intake filter I have heard. As for performance, I wouldn't stress, because intakes won't affect your power by a noticeable margin unless the restriction is really high with your stock airbox..

The one thing I like about the weapon R stuff is that you can buy that little ramair addon, but technically you could probably fabricate something like that for like 20 bucks with parts from home depot or something... I believe that was covered somewhere in the forums too... people using 3" ac duct piping and whatnot..

3" AC Duct piping? Oh I know what you're talking about.. PVC pipes right? To make your own Cold-Air, or extended Short-Ram. But naw, I was simply referring to a Short-Ram Weapon R, I think that's a good choice.. Never was a big fan of Cold-Air because of the travelling distance for air..

That's why I got a hood scoop..
