Mivec?

http://www.rpw.com.au/Performance%20...103engconv.htm

Is this saying a ralliart engine fits right into the lancer with no problems?
If so... has anyone done this? And what are the gains?

well if you dont get hits on the first try, then that doesnt mean you have to stop.

I was considering doing this swap instead of rebuilding my engine.. we will see if I do it. It should work though just can be costly when you arent prepared and where as no one has really tried it thats likely to happen.

first and foremost....search

second: stock ECU?...no way...why?...cus the stock ecu doesnt know how to handle mivec...plain and simple...either you get an ecu with it, or go the EMS way....it should get you a greast platforn to start of on...but please search its been discussed to death around here and no one has stepped up to it....

edit: you may also need custom axels...and most likely a custom downpipe....

plus the all the extra sensors the the 4g69 engine has....

The gains are not what you would realize with a sds from Ripp and the cost is much much higher. When no one does it and it's virtually a drop in you can pretty much figure it isn't the way to go.

No-one pointed out the obvious. The link you posted was to RPW. Then you ask abotu a RalliArt engine fitting in a lancer. The MIVEC engine in thaat link is NOT the MIVEC in a Ralliart.

You are looking at two completely different engines, the 4G69, and the 6A12, a 4banger stateside versus a straight 6 overseas.
