anywho, i can't say for sure whether i felt my torque go. granted, the butt dyno isn't accurate at all, but i would havet to say if anything, my low end response increased, perhaps mainly due to the fact that the 93 is more free flowly, so as soon as i press on the gas it just goes

your right about the high end, the gain is definately there, just not sure about the low end (gains or losses)

tell ya what: i'm kinda broke right now, but if the general consensus is to see a dyno (perhaps it would further your IM fabrication research boe ) then i'll get one this weekend. but would it do any good since i don't have a before dyno? all we would see is the final result, no comparison between the ported 94 and ported 93, or would that be enough to get info from?

let me know and of course if anyone is willing to contribute a few bucks to the dyno fund, i'd appreciate it
I have my NA dyno... basically was just a short ram, rrm header, axle back, test pipe, ported G94 manifold, and ported head. It should be good enough for a comparison. It won't be 100% accurate but you will be able to see alot in the torque/hp curve correlations. Post it up bro...

117hp and 115 tq... sucks huh?

Funky curve!

And Boe - what kind of dyno is that? If it's a DynoJet, adding 14 peak HP ain't bad. But you'd definitely expect more with that mod list (sorry to go OT).

mines a mustang and i have an auto (wouldn't that affect torque output)?

anyways, if i can get my exhaust leak fixed, then i'll look into a dyno, but the leak is pretty bad so lemme look into that first

:Hint: :Hint:

Ripp wants to make a intake manifold for the lancer, They just started designing and testing there intake manifold on the eclipse. the chamber is much bigger allowing more air flow. i said this a few times on the boards. the car runs 8-9psi with the sds and with the addition of the intake manifold they have seen 16psi of boost coming from the blower. They want to make one for the lancer, someone should step up and call Ross, i would, i mean i have be on his back for it but idk, there tied up on things. They don't know that theres intrest for this part, when they here other pple calling other than me than he will jump on it. I know Ross. The reason y Ripp has not begun investing in the stage 3 is because the intake manifold restricts them from doin it. Its way too small

RPW is already making the manifolds for teh 1.8 and 2.0 laners although we would be utilising teh 1.8 manifold as the base cause of the better runner setup. Probably only another month away from finishing them

black... it was a dynojet and i think the ported head did more harm than good NA... also i had the lsd just installed. It really wasn't broken in so i think it was bogging me down a little.

Green... it will be different but we can see the curve at least and compare that.

I have a stage 1 RRM kit with no intake bolt ons done yet. I plan on getting dynoed very soon once I get my test pipe installed. I'll probably work on the 4G93 IM and DSM TB swap in June/July and dyno after I get it installed. Then we'll have some FI numbers to compare to. Hopefully someone NA will post dyno number too.

How much do pulls on the Dyno cost? My local Mitsu dealership just opened a Dyno/speedshop a few months back, and I've been thinking how cool it'd be if I roll down there with the setup I have now, and then again in a few months once I get a turbo =)

^^^ A dealership dyno would by my last choice. Try and find a different dyno first, because we all know about dealerships and modified cars.

Actually, I guess I won't be doing the DSM throttle body swap because there are problems with it. Any ways, I emailed a bunch of scrap yards in the area yesterday looking for the manifold. Hopefully they will get back to me soon.

EDIT: Got quoted $85 shipped, what do you guys think? Any other items I should have them include?

Dynos around here are like 65 for three runs, including air / fuel.

I did find one place that offered me 100 bucks for 6 runs, but that is more the exception than the rule.

PRW Intake

Talking to Dave, I think I am gonna order the New IM from them, and throttle body, trying to decide a good Size still. I will need to get a fuel management also.

I will try to do as many dyno pulls as I can with before, IM, IM & TB, etc. to try to show the diffrences. I will probably order this in about 1-2 weeks, as soon as we figure out what size I need so I don't have to re-order one later.
