Listen, I don't have a set of tools at my disposal. I need to know the size so I can go buy the bolts (which RRM said I need), and the right size wrench. I have a 12MM and a 14MM. Am I trying to do something wrong here?

mines are held on by the stock bolts.... works like a charm. bro im sure u can borrow a ratchet set from a friend, neighbor or uncle or something

oh yeah word of advice. Buy new gaskets from mitsu. top and bottom. cuz the ones u have on ur stock header are probably toasted.. and if they arent.. they probably wont last much longer.

the heat shield is the least of the problem... thats 1,2,3 done. and it's one piece. lol its still in a box in my car lol

My mom has a set that goes up to 18mm... Am I trying to take off the wrong bolts? and if not, why would RRM tell me 12mm?

The one nearest me definitely doesn't. They only carry SAE.

I think they're saying 12mm because that's what they use on their headers. It might be an 11mm or 10mm. But let me tell you, if you start working under the hood, you better have atleast basic tools. If you don't, you'll just have a problem installing a turbo once you plan on buying one. The bolt you're talking about is either metric or U.S spec. it might be a 10mm who knows, I could be wrong. It could also be U.S. spec so...

19mm = 3/4" I don't have anything stock on my exhaust, but that's awfully big...is that correct? That's the same size as the bolts on the cat.

u arent very specific... the bolts are hooked onto the stock exhaust manifold... thats why RRM includes 2 12mm NUTs AND BOLTs... and hes right the originals ones are like 18 or 19 you should really be more specific when you ask questions and we can help you a lot faster.

from the looks of that picture, extremely blown up, I would go on a whim and say that it is very possible that that in fact is a 12mm bolt. 12 mm is a common size on import cars as it is.
Make sure when you do get them that you get hardened bolts and don't go cheap on them or you can expect to break them.

My $.02

No dude, a 12mm wrench doesnt even fit over the threaded part. and what do you mean more specific dude, I said "I need the size of the bolts that connects the stock exhaust manifold to the downpipe', how much more specific can i be.

and thanks to imapunkclaimer and that other guy who said 19mm.
