Question Bad Mufller

Hey guys I bought this cheap *** muffler and I've had it for about 5 months and the damn thing was making this rattling noise so I was checking it out and I pulled the whole inside of it out. So now it is hollow. Is this going to effect my performance or will it be fine. Im just worried its going to creat some kinda back pressure. So just let me know if it's ok or if I need to replace it asap. Thanks

I think everything will be fine. If it's real loud watch out for the cops.

It will slightly affect performance. There will be turbulance inthe hollow chamber. It is like having an oversized resinator on your car. More annoything and loud than anything else.

What he means to say is pick up a new muffler, and make sure it's not a no-name hunk of crap. You should really consider RRM's axleback. It's pretty affordable and I don't personally know of anyone that had regretted it...plus Magnaflow is a pretty long lived muffler. My LTD had the same magnaflow for almost 12 years.

If you're on stock piping. If you have an aftermarket exhaust you'd need to have the flange welded on for the axel-back.

Personally I'd just get the exhaust done right. Either get a custom cat-back with a better quality muffler of your choice, or buy a Magnaflow, Buschur or GReddy cat-back and bolt it up.
