Resonator

I recently got my resonator took off and replaced with a straight pipe, I dont know if its my imagination but it seems like I lost some low end power. Does it seem logical or no, just wondering...

Seeing that you don't have an intake yet, it's entirely possible. You already lost some torque cuz of having just the exhaust minus the intake, and obviously, doing more on the exhaust end will only cause you to lose more.

So are you recommending putting the resonator back on, or getting an intake.

Get an intake. No need to go backwards.

wow, no resonator? that's gotta sound like crap! please, put it back on! Magnaflow has a good clean polished resonator, that's better than the one we have... but yeah, get exhaust if you want noise, and an intake... don't just take out the resonator!!!

I don't have a resonator, Kara. My car sounds as smooth as honey...REALLY ****ING LOUD HONEY.

EDIT: The resonator itself does NOTHING but deaden sound.

I have an exhaust, and the test pipe, but i still wanted it to be louder so i took off the resonator and put a straight pipe.

Ok guys stupid question but where is the resonator? Is it seperate from muffler itself? I always thought they were in the internals of muffler.

Yeah, but, Andrew, we got full catbacks. I think that it might sound crappy without a full exhaust system.

As is, mine is loud as hell, but I know I lost some low end power until I got my injen, and I can definitely tell the difference between low end with it as a SRI, or a CAI. Anyway, usually I'm setting off alarms in my apartments through 3-4K
