Turbo Your Lancer For Cheap
I was an old issue of SuperStreet Magazine and I come across an article featuring a '02 lancer with turbo done by MODERN IMAGE SIGNWORKS in Huntington Beach, California. I read and they say that a TD04-13T Turbo from a second-generation eclipse fits with the Lancer's Stock 2.0L engine. I've seen this turbo sell for as low as $300, but keep in mind that modifications to the injectors and air system will be needed.
heres my list T-25 Turbo - $127 .... Minor rebuild $50 all piping $200 misc mitsu parts to the turbo $89 S-AFC $200 Fuel pump/injectors $50 plugs, gauges, misc tubing $50-$100 thats all i can think of for the moment unless u also want to add the FPR $100-170.. oh and the intercooler as well but i got mine for free...
plus more for the install unless u can do it or have friends that can.. hey shouldn't this be movedto the turbo section!!!! LOL

And you can select to show only parts for the Lancer at the top left. The hoses are 68.50 a kit, but do come in "SuperWhite."

Where to find Turbo?!?!
I really need a Turbo Charger...where can I find one for a cheap *** price....? And what is the h/p and torque upgrade on a turbo charger like the T-25? Is it worth the $800 I'd throw into it?
Let me know!
Thanks

well how much hp and torque don't have much to do with which turbo you use. the boost is what controlls how much power it makes, and the boost is dependant on a lot of diffrent things. also there is a limit to how much boost you can put on the engine without blowing it. the other big diffrence what type of turbo you use will be how fast it spools up and how long it can hold boost. but without an intercooler you can probably get 160 or 180 hp to the wheels and 220-250 to the wheels with an intercooler. i'm just going on what people are getting with rrm and rpw turbo kits for those numbers. also if you upgrade the internal engine parts and have an intercooler you could put a lot of boost through the engine safely, but once you get to a certain point you will probably need stand alone engine manegment or just really really good air/fuel mixture control.
RoaD/Race did that turbo setup. They are the only guys doing full kits and putting down real dyno numbers and times..You think it is easy? You forgot to mention so much stuff. Ask Link. He did do it yourself turbo and blew his engine plus the car was still slow. If you know what you are doing go for it. I don't want to blow **** up. But then that is me.
