What "liters" you could gain would be minimal. To understand why this is, you have to know about the 4G94's background.

Our 2.0L is basically a bored out variant of the 1.8 4G93 that was found in the Mirage. You might be able to bore it out to 2.1 or 2.2, but, I'd pretty well doubt it at all. Thinking about the cost versus the "benefits," even if it could work, it'd be ridiculous.

People, we are not Hondas, or Acuras. We're not able to bore a b16 into a b18, or an H22 to an H23, etc. It's just not feasible.

Increases the size of your bore will get you a little though i warn that anything over .020 is going to take away reliabilty. The motor is very thin walled as is. By taking yourself .020 then having the heads chambers cut to match and deepened you'll almost be enough to say your a 2.2L However you will be dropping your compression down to around 8.8:1. I researched this and had the motor in the shop awaiting this process... turned out though i was able to hone the cylinders clean and didn't need to bore out. I liked that as it is more reliable considering what little meat the engine has.
