"my advice to you, wether or not you get the pulley is to get a 1 or 2 farad cap and possible a deep cycle battery, these two items will surely take care of that problem.
Best regards,
Phillip Rench"

I have a 3 farad cap. And I have an optima battery, and 0 AWG cabling. Its not the issue..its this damn ****ty 85 AMP alternator thats the problem.

Hey, thanks about the feedback, it should take 3 days to get there, according to them, 4 at the latest. as for your system, if you have a farad cap you will be fine, I was running a pulley in my mirage with a huge system, no farad and my only symptoms were diming headlights.

His work schedule really sucks, so I'll be sure to link him to this when he gets home to answer all the technical questions.

No, it shouldn't. The fact that these are lightweight pulleys as opposed to underdrive pulleys, you won't see a drop in the power going to the rest of the car. You'll only see that when using underdrive pulleys because they under power electrical stuff around the car to put that power to use elsewhere.

i was thinking , what if i took off the belt on the a/c and power steering just for the track would that give me a good boost in power?? has anyone ever tried this? i think it would work becuz it takes off that pressure off the engine(ps i would put it on afterwords)

It's been done and it's not a large enough gain in power to sacrifice either AC or PS, IMHO. I think the numbers are about 1HP each, on average. "Professional" or "way too serious to be driving a Lancer" racers would remove the AC system entirely and maybe the PS, too. It depends on how this car handles without PS, but I'm gonna guess it's even more nose-heavy and more prone to understeer (it doesn't need any help in that department )
