Question about vacc hose.

I have a ported 4g93 intake mani on my Lancer and I just used the old hose. I was cleaning out my engine bay today and noticed that when my car is on the hose on the top valve cover was pinching and flopping about... So I went down to Advanced auto and bought some fuel line hose as a replacemet, as the fuel line hose is stiffer and more durable looking then the flimsy stock hose.

I was just wondering if that was ok and what if anything you guys with the 4g93 mani have jerry rigged for a solution to your hose woes? I'll take a pic tomorrow and try to post up how I have mine set up; it looks kinda funky but it works.

Ah, woes with hose... I'd just make sure the interior diameter of the OEM and the new hose is the same or close. You'll be fine.

It'll work fine as long as the hose you chose can withstand oil present and not deteriorate (fuel line hose will be fine).

That's good to hear. I've looked at other Lancer owner's setups, mainly in the registary, and it looks like I'm the only one with the hose set up the way I have it. I'm using a T-line splitting the hose because the guy that helped me the install had me do it this way... I really want to take pics tomorrow and show you guys so you can tell me what you think.
