car idle
there IS a recall on the ECU--recall work is free. might as well get it done for kicks and giggles.
it definitely sounds like a vacuum leak to me. when i got a nasty leak like that the hose looked fine until i touched it--THEN it severed completely. check to make sure you don't have any hanging on by a thread. if it helps the hose that got screwed up on my car was the one coming off the FPR. check that one out and make sure everything is on the up and up.
definitely get the codes read if there are any. sometimes a code will be read as only a pending code and will not trigger the CEL light. a code reader will pick up on this. a code reader is a great investment, too. i bought mine for $100 and thought i'd only use it once... i've used it tons of times on friends' and my family members' cars.

troubleshooting steps from the service manual CD. at least it gives you an idea as to where to start looking for problems.
