i have the 4G94 Engine block. and that is the same block as the evo.. so in my mind swapping the sohc with the dohc cylinder heads should be an easy task but i wasnt sure if it would fit nicely. I wasnt sure if the internals would line up nicely either. im just curious if i need to do anything to the engine before hand.

That is not the same block as the evo. We have the 4G94, the evo is a 4G63, the only thing we have in common is displacement. The DOHC head you have is useless, get rid of it.

are there any dohc cylinder heads that would fit my block then? or is it not worth it to even look for it

I think there are some DOHC heads that will fit the 4G94 but they are extremely rare, ie. you cannot get them outside of Australia, Japan and the surrounding region. As I said before, get rid of that 4G63 head, it is useless to you. We don't drive hondas, cross-compatibility is rare and complicated with mitsubishis.

well i want to eventually turbo my lancer. i would have loved to convert it to evo but that is too much time and money and just a complete head ache. so what i plan to do is full exhaust, turbo, obviously intake, swap the internals, suspension/brakes, basically to make hooked up enough to really enjoy it lol

i just figured dohc would make my car run a little nicer than sohc when i turbo it. a quick question with the turbo. if i want to push 15-20 psi where should i aim for my compression ratio.

wow you're just trying to make our day eh? , ill be nice and say that you need to go to this section, and read A LOT since you seem to know nothing about the car you own, and searching helps too.

If you want to push 18 PSI, you need a lot of engine work and probably a standalone ECU. By engine work I mean new pistons, rods, ported and polished head, new camshaft, new cam gears, new valve springs, etc.. If you want to drop the compression I'd go for 8.5:1. 7.5:1 is too low and you'll have no power out of boost.
