Hey guys,
I got 70k on my turbo charged lancer and I just changed all belts including the timing belt along with the water pump and after about 5k miles later I think I have a powering steering leak.
I see oil on the power steering but I can't locate where it is coming from, any suggestions?
In addition, to that it doesn' seem that it is leaking all crazy when the a/c isn't on but when I turn on the a/c the oil starts burning and smoke appears.
Let me know what you guys think because I am getting annoyed of this little leak.

 

I'd replace the pump. The reservoir I can't imagine leaking but it'd cost 5 bucks to get a new one so get that as well.

You see oil where?

Didnt quite understand your post, but get the car to operating temp, pop the hood and see where the smoke is coming from. From there trace where it is leaking and from what.

 

I drove it around a couple of times and noticed that there was residual oil around my engine compartment. This was very minimal so I didn't think anything of it. One day I drive out and I turn on the a/c and I see white smoke come out from under my hood vent. I pop open the hood and see that it is clear oil. I drive back to my house and I have my brother look at the engine bay while I rev my car while it is on a/c and he doesn't see where the oil is coming from. In anycase, I thought it was coming from the power steering line that attaches to the pump so I tried to tighten it but it was already tight.

So all in all I can't find the freakin' leak and my work has been working me like crazy so I am driving around with a slight leak for the time being.

 

Did you figure this out? Having same issue...
