Is there any way to get my lancer to shoot flames out of the tail pipe on the downshift?

They do sell some kits that do this. Has something to do with putting a spark plug in your exhaust. Or there is another product from Japan called dragon fire.

 

What you do is u re-program ur ECU to run rich... put a spark plug in the exhaust and hook it up to a button. Whenever u wanna see flames shoot out, u press the button which creates a spark which ignites the gasoline rich exhaust gasses.

Many people use this term but why? Rice??? what has that have to do with anything when comparing to a mod car?

 

You need straight pipes to do this. No cats they won't allow raw fuel to exit .....that is part of their function. once you have eliminated the cats the easiest way to do this is with a kit (about 100-150$) they give you everything you need so you don't detonate a bomb under your car(messy)
