engine stumbles
ok....called rrm they emailed me another wiring diagram for the piggy...reinstalled reset ecu and piggy and..........drumrolll.......still pops...i dont know about how hot it runs but i still get mas code.Im thinking im gonna have to replace it.....
Just take the damn thing off! Jesus, if something is screwing up your car, don't put it on. Take it off, reset the ECU and see what happens. If the code is still there, it's not the piggy, if it goes away, it's the piggy.
He say's it in post 18. That sounds about right but the deviation is somewhat unsettling, I'm not sure what the cutoff is before it's considering a blown motor but that's close.
ok i took off the piggy and it runs fine no check engine light no pops and it purrs like akitten. too good actually..it idles soooooo quiet sounds like its stock but when i get on the gas it comes to life....would make a very good sleeper if it was fast.i dont get it why would the piggy do this?

OpenECU is a free program that lets you tune your car DIY using only a laptop and a OBD2-USB cable.
There's a LARGE thread in our Lancer Engine Management forums about ECUFlash, might be a good starting point. Read it here.
Datalogging is the act of hooking your laptop up to your car and using a program to LOG the DATA that your ECU records. The ECU in your car is constantly tracking data about everything from engine speed to water temp, etc.

Honestly, I'd remove the piggyback. It really doesn't seem to be getting along with your car. You could buy the software from RRM and take it to a tuner to see if they can make it run better or you can just sell it and move on. That part is up to you.
