Exclamation Fuel Delivery !

Hey lets talk about the fuel delivery system,
How moch psi out-put it has to the injectors?
wheres the fuel regulator, remeber ther is no return line on this vehicles?
what can we do to increase the preasure?
ect, ect

i had before a GMC Sonoma and the same problem I had of the fuel presuare it top out at 55psi and there was no way to get a higher psi with a reg, it was included with the fuel pum. So u had to get a new one or a v6, yes a i had the mighty 2.2l
wht i did was use a resistance on the temp sensor so i would dump more fuel, so it was reading cold all the time!

my 2 cents any one !

Why would we need to increase fuel pressure? I haven't had any starvation issues.

shouldn't go lean unless you are overflowing the MAFS or the fuel delivery system which shouldn't even be close to happening. If you go to FI you should replace the FPR with an AFPR 1:1 rising rate. You may even need to add a fuel return line so you don't get to much pressure in the line at lower rpms when you need a lot more are higher rpms with the turbo. Or possibly add a second pump that only turns on in boost.

You all will probably have at least a few options on how you want to handle fuel for those that go FI. I'm guessing the most common, at least in prefab kits, will probably be adding a 5th injector and a stronger fuel pump. You could also convert to a return style system, depending on what your fuel rail options are. Or, you could just throw in bigger injectors and some form of ECU control to handle it.

Right now, your FPR is probably built into the pump assembly, like it is on the 4G69 setup.
