Fuel cut?
Fuel cut?
Hey guys, I was just curious if the 4g94 base Lancers had a fuel cut? I spun the tires the other day in the wet and I looked down and I was at ~6200 rpms. It didn't do any damage as it still runs beautifully I was just curious if they had a fuel cut somewhere or if they were free revving?
I don't know if lancers have fuel cut or not. I have an automatic but when I am really racing somebody I take my car to about 6500-6700 RPM's which is right around rev limiter before i go into the next gear. Of course I have a ported head with new valves/springs and a higher lift cam as well as all of the supporting mods and my car is tuned that high so its not like it is for everyone...
Upon reading up on the usual Honda forums for my other ride, the Honda ecus are set with a fuel cut a few hundred rpms after the limiter...just in case. One can just assume something similar with other vehicles as well.
