I just got off the phone with the salesman from Max Madsen Mitsu in Aurora, IL. Good news for guys in the MW with keyless entry: A few weeks ago I received an email for a remote start special from their Mitsu techs. Cost is $399 which I think is ridiculous if they didn't claim it still works with the current fastkey I'm using. When I first called them a few weeks ago they said there was a downside to the remote start. They said after using the remote start I would have to turn the car off and then back on again once I was inside before I could drive away. This instantly turned me off to the idea. Now they're saying they've got the problem solved. The remote start does not replace the fastkey I carry in my pocket. They said I still have to keep the fastkey in my pocket when I use the remote start. That sucks because I already have to carry way too many things in my pocket and I'm not metro so I don't carry a manbag! Anyways, this is great for lazy people that care about warming their engines up.
