Fujita Sri Cel Fix

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I FIXED MY LIGHT BEING ON. WHAT I DID WAS I WENT BACK TO USING SUNOCO ULTRA 94 GAS WHICH IS A 94 OCTANE. I CHANGED THE RUBBER O-RING TOA THICKER ONE ON THE MAF SENSOR. ALSO I SEALED MY MAF SENSOR WITH SILICONE AROUND THE MOUNT. ALSO ONLY 1 SCREW IS HOLDING MY SENSOR ONTO THE MOUNT BECAUSE I STRIPPED ONE TOO JUST LIKE THIS GUY ON THIS THREAD. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR MORE THAN 700KM NOW AND NO LIGHT.

MY ADVICE IS IF YOUR SCREWS ARE COMPLETE, JUST CHANGE THE O-RING ON THE MAF SENSOR TO A THICKER RUBBER AND THEN SWITCH TO A HIGHER OCTANE FUEL TO ATLEAST A 91 OCTANE BECAUSE THAT COUNTERS THE LEAN MIXTURE THAT YOUR ECU IS READING. HIGHER OCTANE FUEL IS EASIER TO BURN AND CLEANER TOO. I AM FROM CANADA SO I DON'T KNOW IF THERE IS A 94 OCTANE DOWN IN THE STATES BUT I AM PRETTY SURE 91 IS AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE.

NOW IF THAT DONT FIX THE PROBLEM THEN SILICONE SEAL AROUND THE MAF SENSOR MOUNT HOLE AND ALSO AROUND THE MAF SENSOR AROUND THE GASKET.
AFTER U SILICONE IT ERASE THE CODE AGAIN AND JUST ENJOY.

I AM A PROUD OWNER OF 1 OF THE FIRST 50 SRI's FUJITA EVER MADE FOR THE 08 LANCER AND I'M LOVING IT. GREAT PRODUCT, JUST HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE I E-MAILED THEM ABOUT MY PROBLEM AND NO REPLY. BUT OTHER THAN THAT I STILL WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCT.

- Higher octane fuel isn't easier to burn...it's harder to burn. That's why it's higher octane. The car was designed for 87 (and whatever its equivalent may be in Canada).

- The caps key is between the "Tab" and "Shift" keys on the left of the keyboard

Other than that, none of these fixes really inspire any confidence in me. It's awesome that it works and good job figuring everything out, BUT, the fact that somebody has to go though this just to get a simple mod to work properly is absurd.
