Yet another plug wire question

In the past few days, we've seen quite a few spark plug wire tread, which made me dig my accel wires out of the basement.

Reading the box:
Those are Custom fit Performance Wire Set (8mm). Part 4047

Do you guys think I can just cut the wire to the right length and use them. Those f**ckers costed me quite a bit, so I would like to give them another life

I really wouldn't try and dick to much with your ignition as it's pretty mysterious to begin with and to have to fix it if something goes wrong...might not be such a good thing. What exactly does your kit consist of anyway that you'd have to modify it?

They're plain yellow plug wires. By modifying I was refering to the length of the wire. Right now, they're pretty long, so I figured I could cut the wire to the right length, crimp back the metal peice to the wire and voila.

Seeing as how you're trying to keep the best current possible cutting and crimping probably isn't the best idea.
