Is the driver 100 lbs? Last I checked the car clocked in at a hair over 3100 empty...

In any case, N/A mods are always a waste of money. You'll get some gains, but it'll cost a lot per HP gained. If you want your car to be fast, go turbo. If you want your car to stay N/A, then focus on things you CAN improve like handling, comfort, etc.

You wanna know how come 08 Lancer is so heavy?

1) Becuz it is a mid size sedan

2) The Vehcile Body structure is much stronger ( mean safer and better handling)

3) GTS 18inch Rims

4) CVT transmission ( 90 pounds heavier than Manual)

I never use my back seat. I was thinking I could take it out completely, but I guess it wouldn't be much of a weight loss.
Road noise coming from the trunk would probably be bigger. I don't know about safety, but it shouldn't be a problem I assume. The vehicle's center of gravity would also probably shift a little...

What do you guys think?

lol come on guys its not that bad, Mitsu kinda thought this out already, both for the EVO and the Lancer, heavier car, better make more TQ. TQ rules the day I say. If your going to mod your over weight Lancer, do things that add TQ to the score board

Rear seat and rear seatbelt hardware should drop 30 lbs. That's like 1.5 HP being freed up. Not much, but if you truly don't use the backseat...

As for center of gravity, you WOULD be making a nose-heavy car even more nose-heavier...
